Today, we only had an hour class because it was part of the midterm. The sad news was that my favorite coffee place had to do renovation, so I went to buy my coffee elsewhere. There was a place called coffee and bun and when you buy a coffee, they give you free bread!! The cheapest is 1800 WON.
In any case, as we only had an hour of class, I had time to explore Daegu! Today, we head to Duryu Park in Daegu. The park is one of the biggest in Daegu and it even incorporated the amusement part E-World and the observation tower.
We were here to hike instead …
It was fun although some of the paths were a little slippery … I was very surprised that elderly people can walk up the path without any problems. I even saw someone run up these slopes.
I wasn’t even at the top of the mountain and I feel like I was at the same height as the observation tower at E-World 😛
We have reached the top of the mountain. It is only 139 meters high, would it still be called a mountain?
At the top, the paths begin to diverge. We just choose some random path because it looks picture-promising.
… and it didn’t disappoint! From here, we can we can part of the city from above.
There is a temple inside the park and the monks live there. However, none of the locals entered, they just pray at the front gate and walked away. Therefore, we didn’t dare to enter either.
At the edge of the park is 성당못 Songdangmot, which is a lake. At the time, the sun was just setting behind the bridge. An older man was also trying to take a photo …we tried to steal his spot LOL. The sun was much bigger than the picture here …
In the middle is also a small island with connected by a bridge but it isn’t open.
It also has a nice view of the E-world observation tower.
… and we had a Holly’s after. The cafe shop has a terrace on the roof. It seems to be quite popular with many coffee shops in Daegu, I think it must be quite pretty during spring and fall. I love Daegu!
My attempt to take a photo of the night view with a crappy camera results in this:
Google has a new feature that creates a timeline for you. This was how my day went. I a not sure were the dotted lines are.
