Rather than getting off at the bus station at Andong, we got off at the lat stop on bus 46, which is close to Andong’s downtown and their train station.
On the way, we saw these puppy in a pet store!
We saw that they had a train back to Daegu but it would be very late when we get back, so we decide to take the bus back later on.
In any case, we first wanted to find downtown because we were told that downtown has an awesome bakery.
It turns out downtown is fairly small, it was the size of two cross road streets. The items in the stores are a little bit more expensive than in Daegu.
Here it is .. the suspected place of where the original Andong Jjimdak was created.
It is a traditional market that sells groceries but it is lined wth many, many jjimdak restaurants and all of them boast that they have appears on TV shows 🙂
In the end, we stopped by Mammoth 맘모스제과, a famous bakery in downtown recommended by my friend’s teacher. It is also recommended by Michelin Green Guide South Korea!
Their most famous item is the cream cheese bun I think by the time we arrive at 8 PM, most of the selections were gone. I ate a tart 😦
The bakery’s ambiance is a little like that of the ones back home. It doesn’t feel cozy, but it is nice and simple and people can come to talk and discuss serious matters.

… then we were in a mad rush to get back to Andong’s bus terminal so we can head back to Daegu. However, there was an alley with lots of murals!!
…. then, we just took a taxi back to the bus terminal because the bus terminal was a little too far from where we were. We were able to get on the bus in 10 minutes and we were on our way back to Daegu!
That was our Andong trip 🙂
